Huge, huge, huge thank you to everyone who has signed up for a paid subscription to Boy Movies. In my wildest dreams I could never have imagined that anyone other than my mom would want to pay for this goofy newsletter, and yet here we are, legging it over the paywall together. Egg on my face, it seems! In this time of great personal distress (I still have two sprained ankles, though they are healing; this very afternoon I got the okay to stop using my hideous walking boot), it means even more than usual.
Based on how often I have lied in this newsletter, I bet you ALLLLLLL thought you wouldn’t actually hear from me again before the end of June, but I sure showed you. Should I not be negging the people generously spending their hard-earned money to read my writing? Too bad. Here we are on this momentous last day of my birth month, which has been packed with personal trials (ankles, turning th*rty) and triumphs (stomping the streets of three separate countries with the aforementioned hideous walking boot). I made it through Gemini season and so did you. I don’t know or care enough about astrology to have any idea what sign comes next, but I hope we all find some peace.
In the spirit of resilience and making it through, I decided to do a mini version of a Boy Movies annual staple: a boys of the year list… of the month. Here are The Boys Of June. Amen.
