THANK THE LORD TO HEAVEN I HAVE MISSED YOU AND YOUR MIND (irl too so a double whammy)! And very proud of you for doing the the damn thing and working through the difficult stuff and getting help and staying optimistic when you don’t have to! KING SHIT! And of course, you’re exactly right about Joker, a movie that makes dumb people feel extremely smart because only they “get it”. I will be seated for folie a deux!

I always thought JOKER was about the scourge of Wall Street frat boys on the subway who somehow knew every word of "Send In The Clowns" verbatim. These guys really are the scum of the Earth, with their fake performative sincerity about show tunes and the sanctity of subways overrun by "super rats". JOKER, a movie for our times.

I don't know what my deal is, (and I've seen a lot of movies) but I didn't think "Joker" was that great. Kind of boring actually. "Important" wasn't a word that crossed my mind.

1st of all and very sincerely: i'm proud of you for trying new meds! it's not easy! i also had a pretty wicked depressive episode this summer and i can relate to a lot of what you're describing esp around losing entire days. i am so glad that you're feeling better now and celebrating the micro steps. also glad you're doing this e-mail when the spirit moves you and not out of any feeling of obligation. very healthy attitude. love that.

second thing: i'm truly sorry i'm like this but have you ever noticed how a little life is about a math genius who endured ghastly abuse as a child and who lives as a young adult in cambridge, massachusetts with his three friends and then he gets adopted by a friendly bearded professor. and later on he falls in love with his best friend, an academy award-winning actor. hanya... lmao.
